Day #5 - Love, Guaranteed

Nick is a down-on-his-luck serial dater who is having trouble finding The One. So he sues dating app Love, Guaranteed for breaking their promise. Susan is his lawyer who tracks his dates to make sure he's not the problem and they have a solid case. Sparks fly during the case.

From the description, I had low hopes going into this film, but I was pleasantly surprised! It starts off a little weird with Susan (Rachel Leigh Cook) rehearsing her closing statement for her current case in the women's bathroom at the courthouse, and the scene flow is a little choppy, but once Nick (Damon Wayans Jr.) is introduced it's pretty smooth sailing.

At its core, this movie is a classic case of miscommunication. It's a very cute story and it's enjoyable watching the characters slowly fall in love. The ending is tear-jerking (at least it is for those of us who cry at everything, including happy scenes).

The main take away from this movie - love is never guaranteed, but you can find it in very unexpected ways, so don't give up.

There are a couple of questionable characters that don't add anything to the story, and some scenes seem a little random, but if you are looking for an easy, simple watch with a guaranteed happy ending, really consider giving this movie a go. It's definitely a contender for the rom com classic list.
